Phil May
In college, Phil May, was the president of the Hoofers Riding Club and was responsible for the organization of the lessons for 150 riders. After college he showed quarter horses for 30 years all over the country. For ten years he showed hunter/jumpers in the Chicagoland Association, and at the same time showed buggy horses all over the country in dressage, pleasure and jimcana. Phil was also an officer in the Fox Valley Carriage Association and would put on driving clinics to bring new people into the sport of driving.
He managed, taught lessons and directed the lesson program of a barn in Morton Grove, IL that had 100 head of horses on 4 acres. At the present, Phil is the manager of a 170 acre private boarding facility known as, Sunflower Farms, LLC, located in Bristol, WI. He has been with Sunflower for 6 years, since it’s conception. He has been watching and helping it grow from the beginning. He has and continues to teach jumping, western, English hunt seat.
